  • In 1907 & 1908 Villa-Lobos lived and worked in the port town of Paranguá, in the state of Paraná, working as an attendant at a local business firm, and playing music in his free time. (Paulo Guérios, "Heitor Villa-Lobos and the Parisian art scene," Mana v. 1, Oct. 2006, p. 5)
